Acuity Brands has expanded its LED outdoor product portfolio by introducing a new line of LED luminaires called Lithonia Lighting ALXW. They have traditional look of ALX series with groundbreaking technology. The building-fitted LED lighting system is suitable for a number of uses including offices, retail centers, schools and hospitality.
The ALXW is a direct replacement for a conventional metal halide (HID) luminaire. It surpasses proposed IES lighting illuminance levels as it generates light equal to a conventional 250 W HID luminaire and decreases functional and energy expenditures up to 62%. It also offers enhanced optical evenness and color deliverance. These features offer improved lighting solutions for pathway and outdoor applications.
The ALXW can last up to 50,000 h at optimum working temperature, equaling to 13 years of life for a standard application. The luminaire can attain its estimated rated life even under adverse conditions as it combines water and dust proof IP67 with advance thermal management.
The VP and GM of Lithonia Lighting Outdoor Products, Michael Naylor commented that the ALXW offers an integrated superior illumination as it features Acuity Brands’ intelligent outdoor control system called ROAM.
