GAO Comm Unveils Fiber-Optic OTDR for LAN Networks

GAO Comm, provider of communication test devices, announced that it has launched a new fiber-optic Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) that is ideal for installing and maintaining multi-mode or single-mode fiber in LAN, CATV, WAN, and MAN networks.

E30 OTDR

The E30 OTDR provides telecommunication network testing with high-quality performance.

The OTDR features high measurement accuracy, high dynamic range, convenient operation, and a compact size. It has the potential to highlight the loss distribution curves, fault point, connection point, attenuation coefficient, and the length of the curve. The device also highlights the return loss, splice loss, and loss between two points.

The E30 OTDR is a cost-efficient test device and locates fault points in long-distant transmission faults. It supports more than 3.5 hr of testing in one charge and carries out testing in both real time and average modes. The OTDR’s hot key design makes it easy to analyze and view the test results. The device withstands shock, moisture, and dust and delivers enhanced performance in adverse environments.
