Innovalight, JinkoSolar to Develop Solar Cells with High Conversion Efficiency

China-based manufacturer of integrated solar solutions, JinkoSolar Holding has signed a commercial agreement with California-based silicon ink manufacturer, Innovalight. As per the agreement, JinkoSolar will buy Innovalight’s silicon ink and license the processing technology for the manufacture of efficient solar cells.

The processing solution and nanotechnology-based silicon ink from Innovalight offer an upgrade to solar cell production lines. JinkoSolar intends to manufacture monocrystalline solar cells that deliver over 18.6% conversion efficiencies in the first six months of 2011.

JinkoSolar’s VP and CTO, Guoxiao Yao stated that the silicon ink from Innovalight offer an economical solution that enhances the conversion efficiency of solar cells by performing an upgrade to the company’s manufacturing lines. Yao added that the company plans to implement Innovalight's processing technology soon.

Innovalight’s Chief Executive Officer, Conrad Burke remarked that the company is pleased to work with JinkoSolar. Burke continued that JinkoSolar's the integration of manufacturing platform and the company’s silicon ink technology would provide efficient solar cells.
