JAI Releases Color CCD Video Cameras for Defense Applications

JAI has rolled out new color versions of the RM-67X and the TM-77X CCD video cameras. The TM-77X camera line includes the TMC-775 and TMC-773 NTSC color cameras that feature 1/2 and 1/3’’ sensor formats, respectively.

The RM-67X product line includes the RMC-675 and RMC-673 models that are the PAL models of the cameras. The CCD cameras are suitable for homeland security and defense applications.

The cameras combine the six previously released monochrome models with CCIR interfaces for three models and RS-170 interfaces for the other three models. JAI’s cameras offer a typical 768 x 494 NTSC TV output with Sony’s ICX428AKL and ICX258AKL CCDs at 30 fps. The RMC-675 and RMC-673 feature a PAL-format TV signal output at 25 fps and 752 x 582 pixels by utilizing Sony’s ICX429AKL and ICX259AKL sensors.

The CCD video cameras deliver enhanced image quality and increased sensitivity with over 50 dB signal-to-noise ratios. In addition, the cameras operate with minimal EMI emissions at 12 dB lower than the maximum limit specified for Class A solutions. The cameras are compatible with C-mount lenses having an adjustable back focus.
