Syneron Dental Unveils Litetouch System with Laser-in-Handpiece Technology

Dental laser solution provider, Syneron Dental has unveiled a Litetouch System that incorporates a patented Laser-in-Handpiece technology. The Litetouch system, which has been installed in various universities and clinics, enables dentists to execute complex dental techniques with lasers.

The Litetouch system is a nonarticulated, nonfiber, all-tissue Er: YAG dental laser that has been specifically developed for hard- and soft-tissue surgeries. The device produces laser energy in the handpiece, enabling increased energy transfer. In addition, the system offers maneuverability, accuracy and high-speed cutting ability to dentists.

Syneron positioned the laser chamber inside the handpiece to remove the requirement of fiber. The company also eliminated the articulated arm and optical table to minimize the overall size of the machine. The handpiece rotates 360° for accuracy and provides ease of operation. Furthermore, the fiberless design of the Litetouch reduces energy loss to offer intense and precise laser beam.
