Oclaro Rolls Out Clarity Laser Line Filters

Provider of optical communications solutions, Oclaro has introduced a new series of Clarity laser line filters for analytical and life science markets. The Clarity line filters enhances the signal to noise performance in laser systems and suppresses amplified spontaneous emissions (ASE) occurring in the Diode Pumped Solid State laser devices.

The combination of Oclaro laser diodes with the line filters offers higher cost savings and time-to-market benefits. The filters can minimize the background noise on the laser and use the AED (Advanced Energetic Deposition), a reactive magnetron sputter technology, to create efficient hard coated filters.

Oclaro's laser line filter offers a deep out-of-band blocking of above OD6, sharp spectral edges and transmission of greater than 90% at the laser line. The company offers coatings that range from 350-2000 nm, thereby facilitating laser line filters for various ranges of wavelengths. In addition, the Clarity laser line filters are available for 532 and 488 nm wavelength laser systems.
