Sidera Networks to Acquire Long Island Fiber Exchange

Sidera Networks, an optical network solution provider, has entered into an agreement with Long Island Fiber Exchange (LIFE), a network service provider. Under the terms of the definitive agreement, Sidera will acquire LIFE and access to the dense fiber-optic networks on Long Island, New York.

LIFE provides telecommunication services to consumers in Westchester County and on Long Island, New York. The acquisition will add 550 lit buildings and 900 miles of optical fiber to Sidera’s network.

Sidera Networks’ Chief Executive Officer, Mike Sicoli stated that that the acquisition will enable the company to expand its existing optical fiber network in New York. He added that the company is pleased to offer its advanced network to enterprise and carrier consumers in the region.

LIFE’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mike Power remarked that the company is delighted to join Sidera. He continued that the acquisition would allow the company to progress with the fiber-optic network services.
