Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video has unveiled a new IP network video camera for indoor applications such as casinos, hotels, retail outlets and schools. The IK-WD12A mini-dome uses an imaging sensor to capture video with two MP resolution of 1600x1200.
The camera captures video at a maximum speed of 30 frames per second in M-JPEG and MPEG4 formats for high-resolution recording and real-time monitoring. A single IK-WD12A captures video for a large area, performing operations equitant to that of four 640x480 resolution cameras and providing significant cost savings.
The IK-WD12A uses a 3x optical zoom, 85° to -35° tilt and 350° pan, enabling the camera to offer accurate viewing of the required area. In addition, the IP network video camera features a Power over Ethernet (PoE) function that allows the device to be mounted on places weere electrical power is unavailable.
The true day/night IR cut filter allows the camera to operate in dark settings with a minimum of 0.04 lux of light sensitivities. The camera also has a number of features such as a two-way audio with microphone, email notification, alarm recording and motion detection.
