Provider of sophisticated network solutions, ADTRAN announced that it has introduced a new solution that allows service providers to effectively deal with the bandwidth challenges generated by the increasing demand for cloud computing, mobile data backhaul and video services.
The Optical Networking Edge (ONE) solution combines packet optical functions for transport, aggregation and service delivery and offers operators with high-quality network access to deliver enhanced quality experience for high-end services.
The increasing growth of bandwidth requirements has enhanced the need for fiber-based Ethernet services. This has resulted in blurring the difference between transport and access networks. The ONE portfolio from ADTRAN allows service providers to reduce the gap between transport and access networks, use their deployed base and extend the core bandwidth efficiencies to the optical edge.
The portfolio offers the required modularity to resolve future and current services. It also increases the time to revenue and eradicates multi-box complexity.
The ONE portfolio incorporates a number of network management capabilities and edge-optimized transport modules. The current release supports DWDM and CWDM networking that is scalable from one wavelength to 400 Gbps on one fiber pair. It also supports Carrier Ethernet aggregation and SONET/SDH Multi-Service Provisioning Platform.
