Supplier of semiconductor devices, Conexant Systems has released a new processor for touchscreen-enabled interactive display appliances (IDAs) featuring video and audio functions. The CX92745 processor enables manufacturers to reduce material costs and simplify the engineering design.
The CX92745 processor incorporates Conexant’s image processing pipeline, a microprocessor, a graphics-processing unit, and a HD video hardware engine to offer high-speed multimedia processing and photo rendering. In addition, the system-on-chip (SoC) solution has an internal power supply controller to minimize martial costs and a built-in Class-D amplifier to enhance power-efficiency and audio performance.
The image, media, and display processor includes a touchscreen controller to faciliate capacitive touchscreen feature, and a programmable LCD screen for digital and analog displays. The single-chip solution supports Ethernet, Bluetooth, 3 G cellular, and Wi-Fi connectivity. In addition, the CX92745 combines a BT.656-compatible video-in port for video and camera peripheral interfaces and features USB 2.0 device and host ports.
