GAO Fiber Optics has launched a new CWDM SFP Cisco compatible transceiver that operates at 1270 nm wavelength. The transceiver is compatible with a wide range of optical transport devices as well as Cisco routers and switches.
The output/input transceiver plugs into a slot of Cisco router or switch or to an SFP port to connect the port with an optical fiber network. The hot-pluggable transceiver supports Fiber Channel 2.12 Gbps and 1.06 Gbps full-duplex links with a 28dB optical link budget, and Gigabit Ethernet 1.25Gbps full duplex links with a 29dB optical link budget.
The transceiver has a small form factor, offers cost-effectiveness, and delivers an improved performance. The device is compliant to the laser Class 1 21CFR1040, and ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM grid standards. In addition, the transceiver supports the Fiber Channel draft physical interface specification, and provides a dual LC/PC connector and a standard SFP interface for network connection.
