Barco and GDC Technology announced that they have successfully deployed more than 300 Barco Series 2 DLP Cinema projector units with SX-2000 servers and GDC Integrated Media Block (IMB). The companies demonstrated the projectors at the CineAsia Expo that is being held in Hong Kong.
Series 2 DLP Cinema Projector
Barco and GDC, since 2007, have deployed over 100 digital cinema solutions in China and more than 2000 systems all over the world. Customers present all over the world have started to adopt the latest digital cinema technology that utilizes the Barco Series 2 DLP Cinema projectors and GDC’s IMB. The Series 2 projector system and IMB offer a very secure and sophisticated technology together with a 4K upgrade path.
Barco Digital Cinema’s VP, Wim Buyens stated that both GDC and Barco are dedicated to continue providing innovations in the cinema sector. GDC’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Man-Nang Chong commented that the company is delighted to provide the IMB technology with Barco’s latest projectors.
