MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems, which provides fiber-optic based devices for professional audio/video and broadcast applications, will display its latest MultiDyne Fiber-Saver at 2010 GV Expo.
The MultiDyne Fiber-Saver can merge up to 18 optical signals or HD-SDI feeds of any wavelength range onto a single-mode fiber. This novel solution eliminates the requirement for extra multi-strand fiber-optic cables and increases the capacity of the signals in areas such as arenas, ball fields and stadiums. Facility managers, OB vans and mobile trucks can now provide additional audio and video capacity when conducting major events.
The MultiDyne Fiber-Saver allows SDI video signals between the range of 270 Mbs and 3 sGBs and changes them into optical signals, which can be integrated with other optical signals of any wavelength range and then transferred across a single-mode fiber.
The MultiDyne Fiber-Saver expands the capability of an 18-strand fiber cable to provide a capacity for 17 additional feeds along with the optical signals managed by the Fiber-Saver. The Fiber-Saver uses a single strand of the 18-strand cable.
The card of the MultiDyne Fiber-Saver is suitable for the openGear frame. It can expand the capacity of a system over one fiber by utilizing 2RU of rack space.
