XKL Releases DXMOS v2.2 OS for DarkStar Optical Transport Products

Provider of fiber optic networking equipment, XKL has rolled out a new upgraded Operating System for the DarkStar in-line amplifier and optical transport portfolio. The DXMOS version 2.2 offers enhancements with various support features such as upgrades and ease of operation.

The DarkStar solutions are Optical Transport Systems that are deployable in long distance, regional, and metro networks. The transport systems offer end-to-end optical transport delivery, and needs the capability to interconnect. In addition, the DarkStar systems offer ease of operation and reduce latency over a network. The DXMOS v2.2 software upgrade features a customizable login banner, and enhancement to the show commands and file system utilities, allowing users in configuring these features to suit the requirements.

XKL has conducted meticulous field tests for the compatibility of the company with the tunable lasers. The field tests showed how the compatibility of tunable laser could offer improved cost-savings and flexibility by minimizing the number and type of spare-part components.
