Manufacturer of electronic measurement instruments, GAO Tek has introduced a new gigabit Ethernet tester featuring smart navigation menus and a 4.3’’ color LCD touch panel.
The XG5050 tester is suitable for front-line field workers to study the quality of network and locate the faults easily and quickly.
The handheld gigabit Ethernet tester conducts traffic generation, data packet capture, network tests, BER tests and cable tests for network layer 3, 2 and 1. The device performs RFC-2544 benchmark tests such as back-to-back, latency, frame loss rate and throughput testing. In addition, the gigabit Ethernet tester tests optical power, used ratio status, frame type and terminal mode.
The Ethernet tester identifies fiber-optic cable length as well as both open and short circuits. It offers test tools such as loop back, packet capture and port positioning and supports full line rate 1000/100/10 Mbps traffic transmission of 128 sites.
The gigabit Ethernet tester comes with a stand for convenient and hands-free viewing and includes a lanyard, tie-in protection and jacket cover. In addition, the tester features a large memory capacity to store results and settings.
