BT to Roll Out Fiber-Optic Broadband Services in Warwickshire, England

Telecom giant, BT has announced that it will roll out new fiber-optic broadband services to over 20,000 properties in Warwickshire, England over the next upcoming weeks.

According to the company, the fiber-optic broadband technology is available for businesses and homes in Warwick and Kenilworth regions. After the fiber-optic deployments are completed, more towns will receive the broadband services.

Warwickshire will receive maximum download speeds of 40 Mbps that will be scaled up to 60 Mbps in the future. An additional upload speed of 10 Mbps will also be available in the region.

BT’s West Midlands Regional Director, John Dovey stated that the fiber-optic broadband deployments would bring numerous advantages to both businesses and residents in Warwickshire. He added that the fiber-based broadband services would support jobs and economy in the region.

BT also announced that eight Cornwall communities, including St Day, Portreath, and St Agnes will be able to access the high-speed broadband infrastructure in the next five months.
