Hamamatsu Photonics announced that it has unveiled a new CW single-chip laser diode that is ideal for both industrial and medical fields, for surface, engraving, and marking treatments. The new L11374 laser diode features a 915 nm center wavelength and a wide emitting area of 100 µm.
The L11374 comes in a head-out OHS package and has long lifetime characteristics. The laser diode adds to the company’s existing range of single-chip laser diodes that are available in wavelengths ranging from 808 to 1064 nm.
Hamamatsu also provides a series of laser bar units that are provided as a module or as bare diodes. The laser bar devices feature the company’s funryu cooling technology and an option of peltier or water-cooling. They have maximum CW powers of 60 W per bar. Customers can also request for fiber-optic couplers, stacked bar arrays, and other wavelength laser diodes.
