Joining Technologies Opens Laser Additive Manufacturing Facility

Developer of laser welding products, Joining Technologies is including a new laser cladding work cell to its laser additive manufacturing unit. In addition, the company has inaugurated a new additional manufacturing facility.

The production facility focuses on the laser additive manufacturing process utilized to enhance the corrosion and mechanical resistance properties of various components. The standalone facility will have access to dock height and drive through and will have the capacity to control and lift parts weighing a maximum of 3.5 tons.

The 10,000 sq ft building will include laser cladding equipment that can process parts up to 40 feet in length. The multipurpose industrial facility is based in East Granby, Connecticut.
