Designer of industrial display solutions, American Industrial Systems (ASI) has introduced a new fanless widescreen touch panel PC for human-machine interface (HMI), SCADA, factory automation, and building applications. The 7’’ NEMA 12 industrial panel PC offers reliable, efficient performance with low power consumption, and has the Intel Atom processor.
The PC features a touch screen Human Machine Interface (HMI) and an LED backlit LCD display integrated into the device. This feature enables users to program, monitor, and control from an information terminal. In addition, the touch screen Panel PC can be combined into automation applications, factory SCADA, DCS, PLC, PAC systems, and operator terminals. The LED backlighting of the PC offers sharp images and consumes minimal power compared to conventional backlights.
The AIS touch panel PC has an IP54-rated aluminum front bezel with a sturdy steel housing for dust/water proof protection, allowing the device to work under extreme environments. In addition, the PC includes communication ports that support Ethernet, RS-485, and RS-232 for Modbus/TCP or Modbus protocols, facilitating connectivity to various control systems.
