Nikon Instruments Launches C2 Confocal Laser Point Scanning Microscope

Developer of optical and digital imaging technologies, Nikon Instruments has rolled out the C2 Confocal Laser Point Scanning Microscope featuring the NIS-Elements C software-Version 3.2. The integration of the two tools offers researchers additional functionality and usability of the C2 confocal solution.

The C2 confocal laser microscope features new functionalities such as improved spectral abilities than previous C1 Confocal systems and four-channel confocal fluorescence imaging. In addition, the C2 microscope acquires and unmixes the obtained information at any channel resolution over the detector bandwidth. Enhancements in electronics maximize scanning speed and accuracy.

The 3.2 version NIS-Elements software is compatible with Nikon Instruments’ confocal product line. The software has improved multi-camera support and customizable dialogs for presets and device control.

In addition, the 3.2 version software integrates expanded depth-of-focus and high dynamic range, and enables intensity correction via Z. Furthermore, the software facilitates definition of stage travel on the basis of analysis results.
