UPN Builds Fiber-Optic Network in Pierce and Puyallup County

Unite Private Networks (UPN), provider of fiber-based communication networks, has completed the installation of 41-mile fiber-optic network throughput the Pierce and Puyallup County, Washington. First customers for the fiber-optic network include the City of Puyallup, the Puyallup School District, and other business enterprises.

UPN has signed a 10-year contract with the Puyallup School District for Wide Area Network connection services. The agreement offers a substantial boost to the district’s bandwidth capacity.

UPN’s Senior VP, Business Development, Rob Oyler stated that Puyallup schools required a distinct fiber-optic network that would enable them to address the ever-increasing bandwidth needs. The fiber-optic project was complex because of the size geography of the Washington state. However, the company was delighted with the end result and hopes that Puyallup schools would enjoy the advantages of the fiber-optic network for many years to come, he said.

UPN provides fiber-based, high-bandwidth communication networks for data centers, carriers, government, and schools.
