3D Plus Launches Color CCD Camera Head for PAL Video Systems

3D Plus announced that it has launched a new Color CCD Camera Head that is ideal for robotics and 2.6 mm diameter applications. The Color CCD Camera Head measures 1.8x1.8x9 mm in size. The company launched the new 1/15” camera head sensor, after receiving positive reviews for 1/10” and 1/6” camera head sensors.

3D Plus utilized a 3D stacking and interconnection technology to develop a lightweight and compact color CCD camera. The 3D technology in the 1/15” camera head makes it reliable and resistant to adverse environment.

The CCD camera head is available for PAL video systems and embeds a Sony color CCD sensor that features improved anti blooming characteristics and low dark current. Additional embedded electronics of the camera head provide long cable driving capability and enable easy connectivity to a base station.

3D Plus also provides a Camera Controller Unit (CCU) on request. The CCU offers micro camera settings such as image window set-up, contrast, brightness and color.

The 3D camera head sensors are utilized for minimally invasive surgery for flexible or fixed endoscopes and for industrial endoscopy. Their compact design also makes them ideal for security supervision, manipulators, mounting and assembly device applications.
