GAO Comm Unveils20-30 OTDR for Single and Multi-Mode Fibers

GAO Comm, provider of communication test devices, has introduced a new fiber-optic OTDR for installing and maintaining single or multi-mode fibers in LAN, CATV, WAN and MAN networks.

2030 OTDR

The 20/30 fiber-optic OTDR has both real-time and average test modes and features a hot key design. These features allow users to carry out, review and evaluate the test results easily and quickly.

The 20/30 fiber-optic OTDR can save a maximum of 300 test results that may be sent to a PC for detailed analysis. It is lightweight and compact in size and proves a cost-effective tool for FTTx deployments. The OTDR evaluates the length of the fiber as well as the distance and loss. It also tests the insertion loss of the connector and the return loss of the fiber, and provides the distribution curve to express the fiber loss.

The OTDR withstands shock, moisture and dust that allow it to deliver high-performances in adverse industrial environments. The OTDR also features adaptors for connecting to various types of fiber.
