Tyco Electronics to Demonstrate High-Speed Optical Products at SC10

Network solution provider, Tyco Electronics (TE) will exhibit new high-speed optical cable assemblies and interconnects at SC10 in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 15 to 18 November 2010. The company will take part in the SCinet infrastructure build-out, which features an InfiniBand network, at the event.

The SCinet infrastructure will offer the required network resource for the event. In addition, TE will showcase its broad interconnect abilities by offering the QSFP active optical and QSFP copper cables to support the InfiniBand network consisting of Quad Data Rate 120, 80 and 40 Gbps circuits.

The company will also show its fiber optics abilities by connecting the QDR circuits with a server via TE 100 m QSFP cables. The server would stream a live three-dimensional flight simulator video, which is obtained from the main SCinet Infrastructure, to allow the audience to have a cockpit view of the flight flying over the Salt Lake City in Utah.

TE will demonstrate its advanced I/O connectors, which support 4x25 G channels. Magnetics products, active copper cable assemblies, RJ point five, STRADA Whisper and STRADA Mesa connectors will also be displayed at the event.

In addition, TE will also exhibit its high-speed InfiniTwist cables at the event. The cables were manufactured to enhance mode conversion and cable management as well as to minimize time-delay skew and parallel-pair termination issues.
