THine Electronics Introduces LCD Driver Interface

THine Electronics has rolled out a new high-speed driver interface called the CalDriCon, for LCDs featuring less noise and quicker performance. The CalDriCon allows TV designers to drastically minimize the pin counts and die size of LSI without resulting in high energy consumption.

In addition, the CalDriCon enables designers to reduce electro-magnetic interference (EMI), thus restraining the reflection of common mode noise found in differential transmission. THine Electronics intends to release the driver technology by the end of 2010.

Utilizing the pre-emphasis technology, the CalDriCon provides a solution without deforming the eye diagram at receivers. In addition, the auto-adjust feature in the eye diagram enables designers to use standard connectors and cables with reduced costs for high-speed data transfer of high-resolution DTVs and 3D TVs.
