JVC, mobile and automotive electronics equipment and accessories, has announced that its flagship product, DLA-X9 home theater projector, has been named as an International CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree. The THX 3D certified projector is developed using hand-tested, hand-selected components and offers a contrast ratio of 100000:1.
The DLA-X9 projector utilizes three 1920x1080 D-ILA units. It is designed using JVC’s D-ILA High Dynamic Range optical engine, which offers high-quality contrast ratios without an iris to improve the contrast specifications artificially. The DLA-X9 projector is available with two pairs of 3D glasses for 3D display purposes.
The projector will be showcased at the International CES 2011, which will be held from 6 to 9 January, 20111 in Las Vegas.
The Consumer Electronics Association has sponsored the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards. The awards are given to recognize achievements in product engineering and design. Products entering the competition are evaluated by a group of industrial engineers and designers.
