GAO Unveils Ethernet Analyzer with Electrical and Optical Interface

GAO Comm, provider of communication test devices, has introduced a new 10/100/1000 m Ethernet analyzer for troubleshooting and analyzing Ethernet networks during the maintenance and construction processes.

E1-T1 BER Tester and Data Transmission Analyzer

The 065 Ethernet analyzer supports network monitoring, ISO layer testing and multi-network testing. It can test performance metrics and data rates including frame loss, latency and throughput. It displays graphics and text on the 16-bit TFT LCD.

The 065 Ethernet analyzer has two operating modes, namely the remote testing mode and the dual-port mode. In the former mode, long distance tests need two analyzers to be placed at both ends of a wide area network (WAN). In the latter mode, it completes the test by using one Ethernet analyzer.

The analyzer has an operational time of more than 5 h and is powered by a rechargeable battery. The analyzer incorporates optical and electrical interface and produces ramped, burst, or constant traffic loads and simulates a maximum of 500 multi stations. It also features an USB port for firmware upgrade and data upload. The analyzer’s user-friendly design, portable size and functionality make it ideal for numerous testing environments.
