Intematix Introduces LED Phosphors for Display Backlighting Applications

Manufacturer of customized phosphors for LED applications, Intematix has added two new phosphor series, the red nitride and green aluminate materials, to the product line. The phosphors are suitable for general lighting and display backlighting applications.

The phosphor materials allow better white lighting when deployed to blue LEDs. In addition, the phosphors provide excellent color rendering and enhanced color spectrum to the LED lights when compared to existing products. The phosphor range enhances the performance of current lighting solutions through lifetime reliability, thermal stability and color quality.

Intematix used its C-MAT Synthesis, a patented accelerated materials discovery and development process, to design the red nitride and green aluminate phosphors. The company develops suitable phosphors for LED performance with high quantum efficiency and optimized particle morphology by testing numerous combinations.

Intematix’ Chief Executive Officer, Mark Swoboda stated that the company is pleased to include the new phosphor series in its product line. He added that the phosphor materials facilitate a wide color gamut for displays and TVs and also provide warm illumination for homes.
