Avago Showcases Cyan-Colored LEDs at Electronica 2010 Expo

Supplier of analog interface components, Avago Technologies has launched the new cyan-colored LEDs at the Electronica 2010 Expo held in Germany. The high-power LEDs are optimized for traffic signals.

According to Avago, the ASMT-AC00 and ASMT-JC11 LEDs provide high-energy efficiency and high lumen output in compact footprint packages that bolster the design flexibility. These features make the LEDs suitable for traffic signals. The LEDs also address decorative, commercial, architectural, and sign backlighting applications.

The ASMT-JC11’s 6-leaded small outline package (SOP) has a compact footprint of 5x4x1.85 mm. Both LEDs can tolerate a maximum current of 500 mA to offer high flux output performance. Both LEDs have a thermal pad for low thermal resistance and effective heat dissipation. They provide a 16 kV Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) resistance that makes them insensitive to ESD. The LEDs also feature a heat sink pad.

Avago’s Director of Marketing of the Optoelectronics Product Division, Francis Khor commented that the LEDs provide high light output performances in compact packages with high reliability.
