Provider of microscopy devices, Carl Zeiss has introduced a new tissue culture microscope with an integrated Primo Vert Monitor. The Carl Zeiss microscope uses an LCD display and a digital camera to enable an easier and quicker analysis of living cells.
The Primo Vert monitor includes LED lighting that offers minimal power consumption and durability, as well as, cost and energy savings. The microscope has high-quality optics that offer crisp images and high contrast levels, while long working distances offer enough room for cell culture dishes.
The monitor can be tilted within the range of 45° - 80°, enabling researchers to adjust the LCD monitor according to their requirement. Another benefit offered by the microscope is that users need not remove their eyeglasses while examining microscopic images on the LCD screen.
The microscopic images can be saved to a SD memory card through the push-to-save camera feature, for safety and documentation purposes. Moreover, this data transfer requires no PC connection, enabling the complete system to function as a stand-alone system in all the labs. However, a computer is connectable to the USB 2 port found on the stand. The microscopic images can be processed through the Carl Zeiss AxioVision LE software without producing any additional cost.
