Beck Technology Receives BIM and Laser Scanning Services Contract

Beck Technology, a company specialized in building information modeling (BIM) research, has received a General Services Administration (GSA) contract for Laser scanning and BIM services, under the IDIQ agreements with the National Laser Scanning. The project involves the development of BIMs for the Atlanta Federal Center’s Sam Nunn and Richard B. Russell Federal Buildings.

In addition, the project involves laser scanning of major portions of the buildings to generate comprehensive point clouds for data gathering and model validation. Beck Technology also handles BIM consulting, development and other related services for owners, contractors, engineers, and architects across the globe.

The National 3D-4D-BIM Program was set up by the GSA, Public Buildings Service, the Chief Architect and Construction Programs office, in 2003. BIM optimization, simulation, coordination, and visualization from 3D, 4D, and BIM computer technologies aid GSA to meet the construction, program, and customer design requirements.
