Enablence Rolls Out 10GigE IP Switch for MSAG Platforms

Provider of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) devices, Enablence Technologies has rolled out a 10GigE IP switch and transmission unit for the Multi Services Access Gateway (MSAG) platforms. Service providers, with the help of MSAG platforms, can upgrade their networks to 10 Gbps.

The IP switch unit enables network operators and service providers utilizing the company’s BroadAccess 300E and 1000E MSAG platforms, to upgrade the network to 10 G. The IP switch module features an Nx10GigE network interface and supports 10 Gbps Ethernet ring transmission. It also has a sophisticated VoIP Gateway functionality. Operators achieve high-bandwidth capacity to manage the traffic demands. Such   demands are generated as a result of using multi-service packages that incorporate HD/IP TV and ultra-fast Internet.

The BroadAccess platform offers wireline service providers a streamlined solution to deliver sophisticated business and multi-play services over fiber and copper. It allows a convenient migration to FTTx network architectures and Next Generation Networks.

Enablence’s President of International Systems Division, Eran Ziv stated that the switch is ideal for customers who wish to maximize the life of their current copper network architecture. He added that the company’s BroadAccess platform with 10 G transmission abilities offers high-quality performance.
