Developer of telecommunication testers, GAO Tek has released a new 8B automatic communication cable fault tester for locating faults including poor installation, water absorption, misconnection, and core wire breaks.

The multi-functional cable fault tester combines the features of an automatic bridge, megohmmeter, ohmmeter, and OTDR.
The portable cable fault tester has a built-in backlit LCD screen that displays six resistance values between the connection line and the A, B paired lines. The highly sensitive fault tester is resistant to pressure and cold due to its sturdy casing.
The cable fault tester includes a battery charger and an intelligent switch-mode power supply that protect the device from conditions including reverse connectiosn, short-circuit, over-current, and over-voltage of power supply. In addition, the tester functions continuously for a maximum of 20 h using an internal LG 2Ah Lithium battery.
