US-Based Power Company Installs Solar LED Lighting in Power Station

A US-based electric company is installing its power generating station parking lot using Carmanah Technologies’ solar-powered LED lighting systems. Carmanah provided its EverGEN 1530 solar LED lighting systems for the project. The lighting installation is part of a pilot project for analyzing the efficiency of solar-powered LED lightings, and for saving power.

The EverGEN 1530 solar LED light is suitable for industrial-scale applications including parking lot lighting. The solar-powered light uses BetaLED’s LEDway LED lighting fixture, producing uniform distribution and high performance. In addition, the EverGEN 1530 complies with the guidelines of Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA).

The EverGEN 1530 lighting were pre-configured for the prevailing weather patterns and the geographical location of the nuclear power station, ensuring a bright light output and continuous operation. A full-cutoff fixture design enables each solar LED light to produce illumination on the ground, while removing or minimizing sky glow.

The Chief Executive Officer of Carmanah, Ted Lattimore stated that the power generating facility is the third power facility in the United States to install the EverGEN solar LED lighting system.
