Onda Launches Fiber-Optic Hydrophone Products at IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium

Onda, manufacturer of ultrasound measurement devices, has unveiled new hydrophone products at the IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium held in San Diego, California.

HFO660 Hydrophone System

The HFO-660 is an optical fiber hydrophone system that is capable of measuring acoustic pressures for a maximum of 500 MPa for Helicopter Instructor Training Unit (HITU) applications.

Onda has also launched the latest AIMS III acoustic scanning system that improves the efficiency of hydrophone measurements. The AIMS III acoustic scanning system and the HFO-660 hydrophone system offer a complete acoustic metrology solution and allow acoustic labs to differentiate the acoustic output of ultrasonic transducers.

Onda’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Claudio Zanelli stated that the HFO-660 expands the company’s hydrophone product series and enables it to introduce a wide range of hydrophones in the consumer market. Zanelli added that the AIMS III platform enhances the workflow productivity by decreasing the data acquisition time, automating the report and simplifying the test set-up process.
