LIMO to Showcase Laser Diode Module at BIOS 2011 Conference

LIMO has announced that it will display a compact diode laser with a 1470 nm wavelength at the BIOS 2011 conference. The diode laser is supplemented by a parallel wavelength of 810, 940 or 980 nm. The fiber-coupled laser’s power rating is 30 and 15 W. A power rating of more than 100 W can also be provided.

Laser Diode Module

The diode laser is equipped with a pilot laser, monitor diode, fiber contact switch and protective window. The unit’s compact design and safety features makes it ideal for combining with OEM appliances, without attracting any additional production and development costs. The laser module enables the user to operate it in all ambient and working temperatures and in almost all CW operating modes.

The laser module is ideal for urology and modern surgical treatments. The 15 and 30 W wavelengths enable high laser absorption in haemoglobin and water. The laser module causes minimal bleeding and protects the adjacent tissue during treatment. It also delivers fast and uncomplicated healing without requiring any stitches.
