Philips Launches 3D-Enabled LCD TV

Philips, manufacturer of consumer electronics and lighting products, has launched a new LCD television with 3D technology. The addition of the 3D technology to the company’s original 21:9 screen further enhances the users’ viewing experience.

The 58PFL9955

The 58’’ 58PFL9955 LCD TV minimizes the effect of crosstalk, a demerit noticed in existing 3D LCD TVs. The new LCD screen implements the local dimming feature of the LED backlight technology and the company’s Bright Pro system to provide bright 3D images. The 58PFL9955 is 2’’ larger than the previous 2D model.

The 58PFL9955 features Perfect Pixel HD processing as well as the Ambilight Spectra 3. The LCD TV offers DLNA compatibility and wireless connectivity. The former offers access to the company’s web portal Net TV.

The 58PFL9955 has numerous improvements namely the colour, brightness and motion clarity compared to the previous model released in 2009. The 21:9 format wide screen of the LCD TV allows customers to view films according to their intended format.
