MRV Demonstrates OptiSwitch Carrier Ethernet Access Series at New York Expo

Supplier of optical communication solutions, MRV Communications has demonstrated the Carrier Ethernet Global Interconnect interoperability for the Optical Carrier Ethernet Access product family. The demonstration took place at the Ethernet Expo Americas Conference & Exhibition held in New York.

Optiswitch Carrier Ethernet Access Unit

The OptiSwitch Carrier Ethernet Access range is a part of the interoperability display carried out by the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC). The demonstration will focus on extending the interconnect footprint from Europe to North America, adding performance monitoring and Ethernet Services OAM tests of a Global Carrier Ethernet Network-to-Network service.

The OptiSwitch 900 Carrier Ethernet Access family will take part as Network Interface Devices that are installed at customer locations. The solution will allow end-to-end service visibility for Ethernet interconnects that span various networks of the operators across Europe and USA.

President of MRV’s Optical Communications Systems division, Barry R. Gorsun stated that the OptiSwitch solution offers a complete set of Performance Monitoring and OAM tools that allow service providers to deploy Ethernet services with verification across Global Ethernet Interconnection units.
