Provider of LCD display solutions, NEC Display Solutions of America has unveiled two new desktop displays. The 20’’ widescreen MultiSync E201W and the 19’’ MultiSync EA192M LED-backlit desktop displays have a dynamic contrast ratio of 25,000:1.

The MultiSync E201W has a native resolution of 1600x900 and an aspect ratio of 16:9, while the MultiSync EA192M has a native resolution of 1280x1024 and an aspect ratio of 5:4. The headphone jack and down-firing speakers of the 19’’ model allows business conferencing.
The LED backlight technology in the MultiSync models minimizes heat radiation and power consumption, and also reduces greenhouse gas emissions. An ambient light sensor is included in the MultiSync models to reduce power consumption. The sensor automatically fine-tunes the brightness level with respect to the screen content or ambient lighting.
The LED-backlit desktop monitors feature DisplayPort connectivity to offer an extended connectivity, together with DVI-D and VGA. The displays utilize less hazardous materials and more recycled plastics. The models are mercury-free as compared to traditional CCFL-backlit LCD monitors.
