MikroScan, Jenoptik to Co-Develop High-Speed Imaging Modules

Provider of optics and digital imaging solutions, Jenoptik has collaborated with a California-based company, MikroScan Technologies, to design and produce high-resolution and high-speed imaging modules from its ProgRes camera product line.

The collaboration will help in developing advanced high-speed scanners, which will be distributed by MikroScan. The company specializes in distributing advanced instruments for lab applications.

The digital scanners are specifically designed for multi-slide or single use purposes.  They are compatible with numerous data management, diagnostic and image analysis programs. The scanners provide slide scan times below 2 min at 20x magnification for 15x15 mm samples.

At present, digital scanners are available for brightfield scanning applications. Models with fluorescence features will be launched shortly.
