GAO Fiber Optics Launches 5401 Fiber Optic Talk Set

Provider of fiber-optic measurement and test instruments, GAO Fiber Optics has introduced a new fiber-optic talk set called 5401. The optical device is a fine combination of a stable light source and a digital optical phone.

Fiber Optic Talk Set

The fiber optic talk set is ideal for fiber attenuation value testing, maintenance, optical testing and installation in telecommunication networks, CATV and data networks.

The optical talk set works with 1550 or 1310 nm wavelength signals. The device is suitable for online call and online display and provides a comprehensible display of operations with a seven-color, backlit LCD screen.

A maximized testing distance is attained with an efficient connection of the optic talk set in a full-duplex communication mode. The optical talk set delivers output power in the range of -5dBm to -7dBm. The device offers modulation frequencies of CW, 2 kHz, 1 kHz and 270 Hz. In addition, the fiber optic talk set can function continuously for 5 h and  is equipped with a rechargeable battery.
