Bosch Measuring Tools has launched the new GLL3-80 3-Plane Hybrid Line Laser that is much identical to the GLL2-80 line laser. The GLL3-80 line laser uses an extra laser diode to provide complete 360º coverage on one horizontal plane, and two vertical planes perpendicular to each other.
The GLL3-80 laser, by offering self-leveling lines and five cross points in 360º, performs layout, squaring and leveling a breeze for electricians, remodelers, finish carpenters, and cabinet installers. It enables the operator to place the device on a reference mark and offer two 900 lines from a single setup point. The GLL3-80 can project in three axis planes of all directions concurrently. It can be swiftly switched between horizontal-only, vertical-only, and triple axis-plane modes.
The GLL3-80 laser uses the patented Cone Mirror Technology to direct vivid laser chalk lines in 360º. Bosch, by decreasing the quantity of moving parts, developed a simpler to use, lighter, and compact laser layout device when compared to a conventional rotary laser.
The laser device can be mounted in various methods for more flexibility. Its base is designed to allow either magnetic attachment or freestanding operation. The base of the GLL3-80 laser device accommodates both 5/8-11" and 1/4-20" tripod mounting.
The GLL3-80 laser can be utilized in the pulse laser receiver mode in combination with a LR2 laser receiver, for long distance applications and bright light conditions. The smart pendulum leveling system of Bosch swiftly levels the device for usage and alerts users with an audible alarm and blinking lines, when an out-of-level scenario happens. The device, once leveled, is precise to below 1/4" over the 100 ft range in normal mode.
