Cobra Series Optoelectronic Cable Adapters from Protokraft

Protokraft, manufacturer of optoelectronic components, has introduced a new Cobra Series of optoelectronic cable adapters with D38999 electrical connector interfaces to enhance the reliability and optical network performance in adverse environment applications.

Cobra Series of optoelectronic cable adapters

The Optoelectronic Media Interface Adapters feature optoelectronic receiver and transmitter functions with a D38999/26xB35PN electrical connector interface. The adapters are ideal for utility, industrial, mining, petrochemical or military applications where substantial levels of vibration and shock are experienced.

The adapters support ARINC 664, ARINC 818, sFPDP, Fibre Channel, Gigabit or Fast Ethernet and various other protocols for single mode or multimode fiber-optic links. They are useful for data communication applications for a maximum of 3.2 Gbps. The adapters have an operational temperature range from -55°C to +85°C. They are resistant to ESD, vibration and shock as per the Mil-Std-810 standards.

The adapters are high-performance 850 nm VCSEL or 1310 nm FP lasers. They consist of limiting post-amplifiers, preamplifier assemblies, InGaAs or GaAs PIN. The electrical interface connected to the adapters is a D38999/26xB35PN connector that allows interconnection to electrical communication ports in demanding environment applications. All adapters can be operated with a +3.3 V DC power supply.
