A consulting company in Southern California, Mukherji Energy Management Associates announced that it has observed substantial reduction in energy by utilizing pool and landscaping lightings at a small-scale facility in South Orange County, California.
LED Uplights
Mukherji Associates used 15 PAR38-7X3W-XIW-120AMD lights to replace the halogen lights. The former lighting products were used as uplight fixtures for shrub and tree lighting. The company also used 32 LEDtronics GDL002-200-TPW-001M floodlights to light up the landscapes along the roadways. Each GDL002-200-TPW-001M floodlight consumes 16 W.
Founder of Mukherji Associates, Ram Mukherji stated that the lights, in addition to saving energy, also save relamping expenses as they have 50,000 h of lamp life.
San Diego Gas and Electric funded the lighting project for a period of five years.
