PinPointe Laser Receives FDA Clearance for Toenail Fungus Treatment

Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group announced that the PinPointe laser has been  cleared by FDA for treating toenail fungus infection. The PinPointe is the first laser to obtain the FDA clearance for treating toenail fungus.

Toenail fungus is an embarrassing condition that results in yellowish and thick toenails. Almost 35 million adults in the US are estimated to be diagnosed with toenail fungus condition. The laser has gone through meticulous testing procedures to receive the FDA  clearance.

Bay Area Foot & Laser Podiatry Group’s founder, Dr. Mark Wolpa stated that he is pleased to notice the positive results obtained from using the PinPointe laser. He added that earlier he lacked effective procedures to treat patients experiencing toenail fungus infection, but now he has successfully treated more than 1600 patients.
