OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, a company specializing in semiconductor technology, has included a new OSLON Black series to the OSLON LED family.
The LED is ideal for operations during large temperature fluctuations and for applications requiring large amount of light. The OSLON Black LED is suitable for applications such as interior lighting for refrigerators; signal lights; and lighting for automobiles, planes, and trains.
The first constituent of the OSLON Black series comprises a tried-and-tested lens design, a compact package and a metal lead frame. The LED’s black molded package ensures a high stability level. Large temperature fluctuations will not affect the life or reliability of the LED. The approximate lifespan of the LED is 50,000 h. It exhibits a minimal thermal resistance of 6.5 K/W.
The OSLON Black series generates a standard brightness of 115 lm at 6500 K color temperature and 350 mA operating current. The LED series incorporates a lens with a beam angle of 90°, and is available in various colors, including warm white. The OSLON Black LED can produce 250 lm brightness by maximizing the operating current to 1 A.
