ARP Develops TeraSpectra Turn Key Spectrometer

Applied Research and Photonics (ARP) has rolled out a new terahertz spectrometer. The TeraSpectra turn key spectrometer allows time domain measurements to be carried out over a time period of sub-Pico seconds to tens of Pico-seconds, with the frequency ranging from 0.1 THz to nearly 10 THz.

This diverse range enables characterizing numerous molecular events that are essential for materials and biomedical research. The applications of the spectrometer can be developed in areas such as pharmaceuticals and diagnostics.

The ARP system’s cost is inexpensive, and it delivers high performance because of the company’s next-generation technology. The spectrometer’s high power source allows probing a diverse range of specimens, thus increasing the spectrometer’s scope. The spectrometer has a sensitivity of about 100 femtomol, and features a high signal to noise ratio.
