The LED light is also UL listed for Class 2 Division 2 and Class 1 Division 2 areas where combustible dusts or flammable vapors are sometimes present. The EPLCD-48-2L-LED light is placed in a cast aluminum housing. It has a lamp life of 50,000 h and offers 15% more light output compared to the two 54 W T5HO lamps.

The LED light is ideal for powder coat booths, paint spray booths, and all kinds of grid and water blasting settings. It weighs less than 50 pounds and can be moved easily. The protective wire guard of the light allows operators to position the plastic wrap on top of the LED light lens.

Rob Bresnahan of Larson Electronics' magnalight.com stated that the company’s explosion proof LED lights provide 5300 K color with 75 CRI, which is suitable for true color applications. The thermal management board design and the solid state LED technology assure that operators receive vibration proof and durable material. The light does not contain mercury, reduces energy usage by 50%, and does not generate any UV light.
