IPNETZONE Uses AboveNet’s Fiber-Optic Network to Expand Chicago’s Infrastructure

Provider of bandwidth connectivity solutions, AboveNet has announced that IPNETZONE COMMUNICATIONS will utilize its fiber-optic network to expand its services in the Chicago market. IPNETZONE will primarily use the network to extend its MPLS Exchange Platform.

IPNETZONE offers multiprotocol label switching and metro Ethernet solutions to carrier and enterprise companies. The solutions are installed though the company’s MEP fabric. AboveNet’s global portfolio is vital for providing fiber-optic network capabilities to business centers in Europe and the U.S.

IPNETZONE’s President, Joon Shin stated that the IP portfolio and high level services of AboveNet provide a tremendous value proposition for the company’s operations and network extension into the Chicago market. The network expansion would play an important role in the Layer 2 initiatives to assure better ROI for partners and customers.

AboveNet’s Indirect Channel Sales Director, Brian Sheehan stated that the company’s bandwidth connectivity solutions would help IPNETZONE to extend its fiber-optic services for both existing and new customers in Chicago.
