Provider of energy-efficient lighting solutions, Acuity Brands is set to revamp a major convention center in New York with Holophane highbay luminaires. The Holophane luminaire series provides advanced lighting solutions for outdoor, industrial and commercial applications.
The Jacob Javits Convention Center, located at Hudson River, is currently going through a three-year renovation plan that includes facelifts and upgrades to major portion of the facility. Two parts of the renovation plan include the installation of green roof in the northeastern US, and re-lighting of the main convention center. The re-lighting project was initiated this year and will continue till 2013.
The major part of the renovation includes the replacement of highbay luminaires with Holophane Prismpack High Bay luminaires. The main objectives of the Javits Center are to improve aesthetic factors, promote energy savings and improve illumination quality with reduced maintenance costs. A partially perforated cover will be used on the Prismpack luminaire to lend an aesthetic appearance and controlled uplight.
The Holophane Prismpack luminaires come with new ISD SuperGlass reflectors and are suitable for various high bay applications such as educational, commercial and industrial facilities. The Prismpack luminaires are available with various HID ballasts and lamps, and provide appropriate lighting levels, while saving energy.
